How long have you been a Wausau Homes builder?

I signed on with Wausau Homes in 1984, so I’ve been with the company 35 years.

How did you get into the Home Building Business?

I started working on job sites when I was just 12 years old. I am a second generation business owner, my father started his own business in 1959.

Why did you choose to be a Wausau Homes builder?

I decided to become a Wausau Homes builder after I discovered their quality precision and that I was given the ability to become a one stop shop when it comes to home construction.

When you’re not building homes what do you like to do?

My whole team and I really like doing activities outdoors. We are usually hiking, hunting, and spending time with our children.

What part of the custom home building process do you find the most rewarding?

The most rewarding part is being able to help people fulfill their dreams when it comes to building their dream home.

If you were building your dream home what is the one feature you would have to have?

For me, I would have an open concept floor plan, as well as interior stone, and a grand front porch.

What is one tip you would give to all custom home buyers?

One thing we always remind people is to work in storage spaces into your house designs.

Are there any home building trends in your area that stand out?

One thing we are noticing in the area is large laundry rooms with plenty of storage.

What has been your most rewarding build to date and why?

There have been so many rewarding builds, I can’t pinpoint just one. We have so many interesting clients with unique situations that brought them to building with us.

What events can interested home buyers find you at in the coming months?

My team and I will be at the Madison Lake, Home, and Cabin Show January 24-26 at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, WI.
