Are there any ongoing Royalty Fees?
No. Unlike Franchise Organizations there are no royalty fees of any kind.
Are there any Advertising Fees?
Do I need any prior industry experience to become a Wausau Homes Builder?
Yes, you or someone on your team should have prior industry experience. We are also looking for candidates or teams that have an entrepreneurial spirit, great people skills, prior management or business ownership experience and a strong commitment to customer service.
Do you provide ongoing support?
Yes. Our goal is to establish a long-lasting and successful partnership with each and every one of our Builders, and to support you every step of the way. We continue to provide ongoing support services to you through conferences, regional trainings, weekly online webinars, and a dedicated Business Development Manager. Additionally, our builders are encouraged to work together to help each other succeed in the field – which is a rare opportunity in the building industry.

How many dealers / Builders do you currently have?
How many homes can I expect to build in a year?
The sky is the limit. New builders aim for a goal of four homes, but experienced builders will build 14-20 homes per year.
How much can I make owning a Wausau Homes homebuilding business?
This depends on the operational costs of your specific location such as the terms of your lease, your sales revenues and ability to manage your business effectively. What training will I receive?
We will provide comprehensive face-to-face, online, and in-group training sessions prior to the time of your opening, plus ongoing support by a dedicated Wausau Homes Business Development Manager. Your training will include Business Set-up, Sales, Marketing and Systems training, and on-the-spot coaching to help make your business a success.
