About Our Design Studio
Owner Jeff Burch has been building custom homes since 1972. Teaming up with his son Dan and business partner Mike, Jeff is an expert at navigating the homebuilding process and is ready to help make every homebuyer’s experience an enjoyable one from start to finish. Jeff and his wife have lived and raised their family in the Hayward area for the past 45 years and enjoy spending time with their grandchildren.
Each Wausau Homes Builder is an independent local business, so you can have the confidence and ease of dealing with a local builder. Plus, each Wausau Homes Builder has access to all of the Wausau Homes design tools and Wausau Homes components.
About The Area We Serve
The Wausau Homes Design Studio is located in Trego. We build homes across Douglas, Burnett, Washburn and Sawyer counties, which includes Hayward and the communities of Shell Lake, Spooner and Webb Lake. Our area includes pristine lakes and vacation destinations, or just a quiet place up north to call home – if you can dream it, we can create it.
The Hayward lakes area welcomes all to the Northwoods of Wisconsin with woods, water and world class events! Sawyer County boasts an old-fashioned, friendly small town atmosphere while offering the finest amenities to make it a four-season vacation destination. With a variety of sports and outdoor activities, excellent dining and unique shopping, you’re sure to enjoy your getaway in the Northwoods.
The Chequamegon National Forest provides 850,000 acres of world class scenic trails for hiking, horseback riding, biking, snowshoeing, cross country skiing and over 600 miles of groomed snowmobile trails. Spend a day or two golfing in the region, which has earned itself the title of Golf Capital of Wisconsin. Other attractions include the unique Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame and a wildlife park for the kids to see and even pet some of the animals that populate the Northwoods. Enjoy a lumberjack show or tube, canoe or kayak down the Namekagon River. You might want to try your luck during a visit to the casino or climb into a boat to try and catch the next World Record musky.
